Key Tasks
  • Conduct / arrange safety inductions, safety training and safety meeting in order to ensure staff and contractors are aware of company HSE policy & procedures and safety required at work. Display a proactive attitude and  ownership of the HSE system onboard the Facility to develop and enhance the Safety Culture of persons onboard
  • Responsible for formulating and carrying out all offshore safety related training. Will keep training records offshore and shall ensure all personnel’s mandatory training onshore is current
  • Collect data, collate and formulate reports as required to satisfy the HSE requirements to Vietnam authorities. Review, approve and report in a clear concise and accurate manner all reports to FPSO Manager, and where necessary to the HSE department manager, utilizing the available computer and communications systems
  • Lead / be a part of the investigation team for Incident / Accident reporting
  • Plan, arrange and participate in emergency response exercises in order to identify areas for improvement and train related personnel on emergency response.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections / audits and provide safety & health advice to company facilities in order to ensure all staff comply with company safety procedures and policy relevant national / internal regulations, laws and standards
  • Carry out regular inspections and checks on all fire fighting and life saving apparatus as per schedule
  • Team member of the Emergency Response Team during an Emergency situation – undertake directives as required from the FPSO Manager or his designate

Minimum requirements

Education:          University degree in a related discipline preferred
Experience:        10 years experience in Oil & Gas industry.
                 5 years experience in safety officer at Platform or FPSO field
Specific knowledge:
·         Good knowledge of safety inspections / audits, and offshore petroleum operations
·         Advanced knowledge of safety practices at work
·         Worksite safety supervision
·         Effective Presentation and Reporting skills.
