LOGISTICS MANAGER
• Minimum of 15 years experience directly associated logistics / marine work
• Minimum of 8 – 10 years experience in supervision of logistics / marine work
• Preferred experience in Southeast Asia, especially in Thailand or Indonesia
• Proven experience in warehouse and yard management
• Proven ability to set up policies and procedures then management inventory and inventory control, preferably with experience with Oracle system
• Proven experience in all aspects of transportation, both onshore and offshore to contract, inspect, certify, manage and maintain services. Services would include cranes, forklifts, trucking, supply/AHT/tug/crew vessels, and helicopters.
• Ability to handle contracts. Inclusive of development of bid specifications, bid evaluation, identify key bid parameters, contracting strategy, negotiation, and contract management
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of industry, local, and governmental regulations
• Good personnel skills to source, manage, supervise, and train personnel within the logistics department
• Good organizational skills for both organizational and inventory/materials
• Effective at cost management / cost control
• Familiarity with -) drilling/completion/workover -) Production operations and -) Project / Construction operations, needs, and requirements. Ability to align strategies of Logistics with Operations/Drilling/Projects needs and requirements. Knowledge of equipment and materials by sight a strong plus
• Some experience in material importation, customs clearance, importation regulations
• Experience in equipment preparation for storage, inspection, stock control, and long term storage maintenance requirements
• Solid experience in the management and audit of fuels and lub oils.
• Ability to generate Budgets in line with corporate needs and guidelines and manage same to achieve effective cost control of Logistic’s activities.
• Able to be a major contributor to any Emergency Response occurrence, Oil Spill Response, impacts from adverse weather conditions.
• Put in place a system to monitor service supplier’s performance, procedures to rectify any shortfalls or weaknesses, and manage an effective relationship with service providers.
