Tognum Asia is one of the regional headquarters of the Tognum Group which is one of the world’s leading suppliers of engines and propulsion systems for off-highway applications and of distributed energy systems. The product portfolio of Tognum comprises MTU engines and propulsion systems for ships, for heavy land, rail and defense vehicles and for the oil and gas industry, distributed energy systems of the brand MTU Onsite Energy and fuel-injection systems from L’Orange.  Located in Singapore, Tognum Asia supports all MTU and MTU Onsite Energy products and services in the Asia-Pacific region. Its core operations cover the areas of application engineering, sales and after-sales support, logistics, distribution management, marketing, communications and other essential corporate functions

Due to our expansion, the Company is looking for a qualified and experienced person to fill the following position:

Engineer - After Sales

Responsibilities & Duties: 

• Assist Parts Management Department in providing technical and parts engineering support effectively to the After- Sales Operations and Projects
• Provides technical support and advice on engine spares requirement with regard to customers’ enquiries and orders
• Creation and maintenance of Material Master, BOM and other relevant system data
• Assist in preparing engines maintenance sets
• Assist in LCC program and system documentation updates
• Creating and maintaining engine database for overall efficiency of parts verification  
• Technical assessment of warranty claims and discrepancies arising for parts supply
• Renders technical assistance and advice to warehouse regarding acceptance of incoming parts as well as return parts from customers. Advice on usability of stored parts when requested
• Recommend items to be inventoried based on technical information, campaigns and feed back from field
• Updates records/catalogues affected by technical modification of engines
• After Sales Project Management: responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion (incl. training and documentation were applicable) of assigned projects.       

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Marine Engineering or equivalent
• Min 3 to 5 years in working in an engine related industry/environment
• Preferably with experience in interpreting engineering drawings and parts catalogue 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Preferably with hands-on experience on SAP - Materials Management (MM)
• Is resourceful and posses good interpersonal & communication skills
